2017 Results
The fourth annual Healthy Lake Committee Ice Fishing Derby was held on Saturday March 4, 2017 in the northern basin of Pelican Lake, MB. The derby was a great success with 639 Adult anglers and 112 Junior anglers that came out to fish, for a record high participant number of 751! During the four hours of derby fishing a total of 62 fish were measured; 61 Northern Pike, 1 Perch, and no Walleye. Congratulations to Jamie Barwick of Portage la Prairie, MB, who caught the longest fish overall in the derby; a Northern Pike measuring 84.5 cm. As the winner of the derby, Jamie won an Outlander L-450 Quad valued at $8,000! Also, congratulations to Paizli Canada of Boissevain, MB, who caught the longest fish in the Junior category, a Northern Pike at 70 cm. Thank you to all of the anglers who attended, and a special thank you to all of our hardworking and tireless volunteers! All proceeds will go towards our continued aeration efforts in Pelican Lake.

At our derby we award first to seventh place in each fish species. Because there were so few fish measured this year, we awarded the top seven fish caught in the Northern Pike category and the one fish caught in the Perch category. Then the remainder of prizes were given away in a random draw of all derby participants. Here are the Adult category winners:
NORTHERN PIKE WINNERS - ADULT
PERCH WINNERS - ADULT
We awarded all of the Junior fish caught, as there were only 5. The remaining Junior prizes were given away in a random draw. Here are the Junior category winners:
